Supporting our work

giving

We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who gives so generously to support our churches and our ministry in Sunninghill and South Ascot.

Whether you give regularly or choose to make a one-off donation, we are very grateful for your generosity

Why give?

There are many ways that you can help support our parish, through giving your time or skills to help us to share the love of God with our community and to take care of our beautiful buildings, but one important way is through making a financial donations.

Like other Church of England churches,  our parish doesn't receive any money from the government or the national church. Instead we rely entirely on the generosity of our congregation members and visitors to be able to continue and develop our work.

How much does it cost to run the parish?

It costs around £695 a day to run our parish. (That's about £4000 a week!) Some of that money goes to the diocese to fund central services and pay for our vicar, Tansley!

Ways to give

There are electronic collection points in each church and a cash collection is taken each Sunday, however, if you are able to, please consider making a regular donation, via the Parish Giving Scheme. Regular donations help us to be able to plan better across  the year. Alternatively we know that some people prefer to make an annual donation, or a one-off donation. You can do so by cheque or bank transfer (details below)

Parish Giving Scheme

You can set up a regular payment (or a one-off) through the Parish Giving Scheme; click on the links below to be taken through to our dedicated church giving page. All your payments go to the church, and Gift Aid can be added automatically if you choose. This is by far the best way to give, as no administrative load on the church is required. You can log-in again at any time if you need to cancel or change the amount of your gift.

Cheque or Cash

If you would prefer to give via cash (or card) there are sum-up machines in each church, and a collection is taken during services. Alternatively you are welcome to place your gift in an envelope and give them to Nicola in the parish office, who will ensure they are locked securely in the safe.

Cheques can be made payable to
St Michael and All Angels PCC

(Please note - our volunteer counters meet once a month to count cash collections and donations, so it may be a few weeks before your cheque is cashed. Thank you for your patience!)
